昭和５３年３月、大阪市立大学医学部を卒業後、大阪市立大学脳神経外科学教室に入局。恩師大阪市立大学名誉教授西村周郎先生のもとで米国レジデント方式に近いトレーニングを受けました。研修は大阪市立大学医学部附属病院を中心に、北野病院、済生会茨木病院等にて受け、脳神経外科専門医（1696番）の資格を取得。その後、関西医科大学に入局。大学院博士課程（耳鼻咽喉科学）に進学しました。恩師関西医科大学名誉教授故熊沢忠躬先生のご推挙にて大学院在学中２年間ドイツデュッセルドルフ大学耳鼻咽喉科学教室にて研究助手として勤務しました。そこでProfessor Meyer zum Gottesbergeとメニエル病の病因に関する研究を行い、帰国後、厚生省前庭機能異常調査研究班の仕事に従事する傍ら、Professor Meyer zum Gottesbergeとも共同研究を続けました。この間に耳鼻咽喉科専門医（7369番）の資格を取得しました。
平成５年に当地に開業しました。
